About the role
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with embedded experience to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and document defects, and work closely with embedded software and hardware teams to drive continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities
• Design and execute manual and automated tests for embedded and Linux-based platforms
• Develop and maintain automated test suites
• Perform API testing (REST API) and service-layer validation
• Collaborate closely with systems, software, hardware, and mechanical teams
• Maintain and enhance testing tools, infrastructure, and automation
• Collaborate with developers and QA team to continuously improve test strategies and practices
• Proactively identify quality improvements and take ownership of their resolution

Role's requirements
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in embedded Automation QA, preferably with Python
• Solid experience in embedded systems testing, particularly within Linux environments
• Strong understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and CAN protocols
• Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools (e.g., JMeter)
• Hands-on experience working with hardware test and measurement equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
• ISTQB certification is a plus
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related degree
• Excellent verbal and written English
